Tatneft says may start to refine 100% of crude, stop oil sales

MOSCOW, Jul 9 (PRIME) -- Russian oil company Tatneft may refine all crude it produces and abandon the sales of the raw material soon, President of the Tatarstan Republic and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tatneft Rustam Minnikhanov said on Friday.

"Tatneft has a cutting edge refinery for 15–16 million tonnes. We may stop selling oil soon and start to refine it fully," Minnikhanov said.

Tatneft’s oil output fell by 3.8 million tonnes to 26 million tonnes in 2020.
